Cyber detective OSINT tools Newsletter #1(2023)
What's new in November-December 2022 and January-early February 2023
Hello, dear readers!
Thank you very much for subscribing! In this issue I'll tell you what's new in my projects in the last three months (yes, the newsletter is rare, but I hope to publish it more often in the future)
A series of articles about using the Archive.org CDX API
In January I posted some practical tutorials on getting data from the WayBack Machine using CDX API and analysing it with Google Sheet:
How to view the history of a social media profile name using the Archive.org CDX API. 4 steps guide
5 basic techniques for automating investigations using the Wayback Machine (archive.org)
The simplest guide to scraping with Google Sheets
These very short and simple articles will help you automate research of old versions of web pages of interest to you (e.g. company websites or people's social media profiles) and save a lot of time.
You can also read this article in addition to them:
OSINT automation: using сustom functions for working with API requests in Google Sheets
New threads
I've compiled a list of bloggers on the Medium platform who write on topics related to #osint:

And list of 11 simple and well-known Google Maps Tips:

I haven't done many threads lately as I've been concentrating on writing for Medium. In the future, I plan to do more of them, as they are good for promoting a Twitter account. I recommend doing threads for anyone who wants to speed up audience growing on Twitter.
New on Worldwide Osint Tools Map
Since the last letter, around 50 new tools have been added to the Worldwide Osint Tools Map (there are almost 700 of them already!).
These include new resources for the Balkan countries, a Startme page for Malaysia, a highly detailed map of Barcelona, an necrolog database for Canadians and much, much more.
You can find fresh links in this Github commits:

New in OSINT tools collection
In three months there was only one update to the main collection and 63 links were added to it. FullHunt, EmailHarvester, How to verify?, BirdSQL and other new products can be found in this Github commit (and in the Twitter feed, of course):
